Four Corners - New Mexico

It's official.  We have reached the flat plain states.  But it was an interesting trip to get here.

Our day started in Colorado

But we headed back into Utah on our way to Four Corners
Which we reached early in the day

After picking up a couple souveniers at the booths surround the park, we headed into Arizona
Then New Mexico for the remainder of the day
Chris's only goal was to reach Albuquerque.  The road was typical of what we have seen so far.  except for the continental divide

, we made it around lunch time and spent over 2 hours driving the town looking for a couple roadside sites.  Route 66 in town is quite the sightseeing adventure.

We saw Giant Arrows, metal sculpture and lots of cool buildings

Finally Chris found the street he was looking for that took him to the Bug House
With his mission complete we made our way out of town.  But we spotted one more attraction, but this one is for Lyle
Back to the road until Santa Rosa
Tomorrow we are on our way to see a dear friend (notice I didn't use the word old  LOL).  See you in the afternoon Margaret
